Meet The Trainer
Courtney Washmuth was born and raised on the North Shore of Chicago, Illinois.  She began riding competitively at the age of 10.   During her first two years of showing in the Northern Illinois Hunter and Jumper Circuit, she attained Champion in two divisions and Reserve Champion in one division at the year end awards.

To evolve her riding career even further, Courtney started training with Lynn Jayne, President of the USHJA Foundation and Board of Directors at Our Day Farm.  There she excelled in the "A" Circuit, riding competitively in Zone 5 in the Small Juniors, Children's Jumpers and then moved up to Junior Jumpers.  She also competed in the "A" Winter Circuit Series in Wellington, Florida.

Courtney wanted to share her passion for horses and jumping with others.  Shortly after moving to the West Coast of Florida, she began training "green" horses and instructing both children and adults of all levels of riding.  Courtney freely shares her knowledge with others and truly enjoys watching her students grow in their abilities.  In order to provide the personal attention she feels each of her students deserve, she started her own training facility where each client receives the opportunity to pursue their goals on an individualized basis.

Courtney has participated in clinics with equestrian leaders
such as Chris Kappler, George Morris, Debbie Stephens,
and Ann Thal. She also assists her own students
in pursuing these opportunities.

Courtney would like to acknowledge and thank
three very special horses in her life:  Lotta Heart,
Thurston, and Maddhatter.  They were truly the best
teachers that she ever had.
